Overview

Chicago 1929: Gamaschen-Colombo (George Sands) hat soeben einen Verräter „beseitigt“. Dumm für die beiden arbeitslosen Musiker Joe (Tony Curtis) und Jerry (Jack Lemmon), dass sie dabei zusahen. Um dem Gangster zu entkommen, verkleiden sie sich als Frauen und heuern bei einer Mädchenkapelle an, die gerade auf dem Weg ins sonnige Florida ist. Dass die beiden „Damen“ sich dort sehr bald wohl fühlen, liegt vor allem an Sugar (Marilyn Monroe), der sexy Ukulelespielerin der Band.
